The Dordogne Valley

Collonges la Rouge unveils its exceptional richness. The heritage of the past going back XV1 century. It is a wonderful spectacle to see the richness of this patrimony in the stonework. Therefore, leave your car in the carpark as this village is entirely pedestrian.

Curemonte: This village has three chateaus, three churches, and several noble houses set in a beautiful environment.

Turenne: A superb village perched on a rock. The chateau opens its doors towards the guardians of the X1V century. Its gardens are full of flowers, Caesar's tower gives an exceptional panorama to those who were viscounts.

The nearby, categorised, 'beautiful villages of France" situated in the Lot department are: Autoire, Loubressac and Carennac. In the Cantal: Salers and Tournemire without forgetting Domme, the Roque Gageac and Beynac. You will have lots of pleasurable hours between Auvergne and Périgord, with vineyards, foie gras (pate), strawberries and chestnuts, good food and charming bistros.
